The following section provides Rates, Terms and Conditions for all-inclusive Crewed Charter, all-cost-extra Crew-Only Charter and Sailing Instructions.
The following tables show our 7-day rates for all-inclusive crewed charter, effective May 1, 2012. All rates are in US dollars and include the crew. All rates are subject to change without notice. Gratuity of 15-20 percent is customary, but is not included in the published rates. These rates and conditions are for charters in the Virgin Islands. Charters in the Lewards and the Windwards may include boat relocation fees, and different conditions for provisioning. Please contact us for special arrangements.
Fees for charters of duration other than 7 days are pro-rated. We usually offer charters of 4-day minimum duration but inquire for shorter duration.
This information contains extracts from our standard Charter Agreement. In case of conflict between this information and the actual Agreement, the latter shall take precedence.

1. The Charter is confirmed upon receipt of the signed Charter Agreement and an initial deposit of 50 percent of the Charter Price, except for charters booked more than six months in advance, in which case the initial deposit is 25 percent for confirmation; a second deposit of 25 percent is due six months prior to the charter. Deposits shall be paid by certified cheques or by electronic wire transfer. The balance is due at boarding in cash, by traveller's cheques, or by electronic wire transfer 14 calendar days before the charter. Christmas and New Year charters: +10% surcharge.
2. Captain and a chef/first mate are included in the boat charter fee. In addition to navigation, the crew will provision the galley prior to the charter, prepare the meals and keep the boat shipshape.
3. The Charterer will be asked to complete a Guest Preference Form for the charter party to help us plan the meals, beverages, itinerary and activities. This Form should be returned to us as soon as possible, but not later than two weeks before the charter. About one month before the charter, we will contact you by e-mail to schedule a telephone review of your Preference Form. The telephone review is usually completed two weeks before the charter.
4. All meals, beverages, standard bar, fuel, mooring buoy and BVI National Park buoy rental and all other expenses are included except as stated in section 5 below. Fine wines and premium liquor are excluded, but will be provided at cost if so requested. There is no adjustment in price if you decide to eat ashore.
5. The Charterer is responsible for tourist taxes, cruising permits, fishing permit where applicable, customs and immigration charges and port authority charges. For a 4-person 7-day charter, this amount to approximately USD150.00. The Charterer is also responsible for marina slip (if so requested), personal travel expenses, land accommodations, tours, and gratuity at your discretion.
6. Charter starts at 12:00 P.M. and ends at 12:00 P.M. Pick-up and drop-off locations are as mutually agreed at booking time, usually Red Hook, St. Thomas or Soper's Hole, Tortola.
7. Rates are based on double occupancy.
Starting May 1, 2012, we are now offering a half-board 7-day charter package, where we provide seven breakfasts, four lunches and four dinners. This makes it easier to go ashore to sample the local restaurants.
The following table shows our half-board rates. Note that this package is for a 7-day charter only. Fees and conditions for charters of duration other than 7 days are negotiable. Other terms and conditions are the same as for the all-inclusive crewed charter package.

The Charterer is responsible for provisioning including for the Crew, food preparation, cleaning, beverages, fuel, all mooring buoys, tourist taxes, cruising permits, fishing permit where applicable, customs and immigration charges, port authority charges, docking at marina, travel expenses, land accommodations, gratuity at your discretion and all other operating expenses except maintenance.

The sailing instruction fee under ISPA program is $100 for the first training standard and $50.00 for each additional standard, payable in cash or traveller's cheques to the Instructor. If the training spans more than 7-days, an additional fee of $100 shall apply. This covers the on-the-water Certification by our Instructor. This is in addition to the charter fees.
The student is responsible for buying the workbook(s) from ISPA and for meeting the applicable pre-requisites as outlined in the ISPA International Logbook.
